Jaguar XKR Portfolio adds luxury, premium equipment and exclusivity

The Jaguar XKR is an exceptional sports car defined by dramatic beauty and effortless performance. Built in limited numbers, the XKR Portfolio adds highly crafted levels of luxury, premium equipment and exclusivity.

The combination of technically advanced lightweight Aluminium construction and Supercharged 4.2-litre V8 engine deliver performance that is both huge and effortless. 306kW and 560Nm of torque provide blistering acceleration – 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. Whilst low weight and exceptional body stiffness mean pin-sharp handling, remarkable agility and a driver-focused character that is both involving and composed.

XKR Portfolio’s unique specification includes Shadow Grey paint, for the first time on an XK, with contrasting milled Aluminium side power vents, and Selena 20-inch alloy wheels in shadow finish featuring red Jaguar “Heritage” centre badges.
Portfolio’s Alcon R Performance Braking System – identified by distinctive red-painted callipers – is the most powerful Jaguar has ever made available on a production car. Developed with British racing experts Alcon, and brought to production by Jaguar’s Special Vehicles team, it features ventilated 400mm front and 350mm rear discs, and light, stiff monobloc six-piston front and four-piston rear callipers to combine astonishing power and feel with Jaguar refinement.

The cabin is characterised by craftsmanship and premium quality materials, from the Alston headlining to the Engine Spin Aluminium veneers. The Softgrain leather upholstery is available in a choice of two exclusive colour ways – Warm Charcoal with Cranberry contrast twin-needle stitching, or Ivory and Charcoal with Slate contrast twin-needle stitching. The alloy gear selector, with polished metal gearshift surround, is trimmed with leather, and there are leather-edged carpet mats and “Portfolio” scripted tread plates.

And there is a very special Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system. Featuring innovative technologies, such as Kevlar® mid-range speaker drivers and specially designed Aluminium dome tweeters, it has been specifically developed and tuned for XKR Portfolio by Bowers & Wilkins acoustic experts. The result is an extraordinarily immersive audio experience.

The new Jaguar XKR Portfolio special edition is available to order now with deliveries expected in the third quarter of 2008. Only ten XKR Portfolio’s will be coming to Australia and these are all Coupes at a Recommended Retail Price of $246,000*.
